Dave DesRochers, who provides the voice for Coach Hawksie in the film adaptation of this book, is a former NFL player with the professional American Football team Seattle Seahawks. In fact, the name Coach Hawksie is a play-off of the name Seahawks. He met author Stephen Tako in 2020 and gave an official endorsement of the book Junga the Dancing Yeti Meets Heidi. It was this new friendship that inspired Stephen to write about sportsmanship for the third book in the Junga the Dancing Yeti series.
